Environmental Health and Safety Manager

Join the thriving manufacturing company as a Health and Safety Manager. Client is at the forefront of delivering high-quality, products to their customers, and the safety of the team members is paramount to their success. You will be reporting into SHEQ manager and Factory Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures in line with industry best practices and legal requirements and company policy
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety measures into various processes and projects
  • Organise and deliver training programs to educate employees on safe working practices and emergency procedures
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrences
  • Strive to maintain zero accident culture
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant health and safety regulations and industry trends to continuously improve our safety practices

Requirements

  • Proven experience in health and safety management within FMCG and manufacturing industry
  • In-depth knowledge of safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP, FSMA, ISO 14001 and 45001, RIDDOR reports) and workplace safety regulations
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with employees at all levels
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to safety-related challenges
  • Ability to occasionally travel to other company sites
  • Certification in Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH) is highly desirable
