CAD Designer

My client is a highly successful acoustics consultancy with a distinguished track record of over 50 years in delivering comprehensive noise and vibration solutions across diverse sectors. As a CAD Designer, you will be presented with the opportunity to engage in a variety of projects and utilise your expertise to formulate intricate designs and plans. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the shaping of environments and industries with pioneering solutions while being an integral part of an organisation dedicated to excellence and innovation in the field of acoustic engineering.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable expertise in AutoCAD, coupled with a strong foundation in pertinent software tools for design and project management.
  • Demonstrated comprehension of best installation practices.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • At least 10+ years of experience in the construction industry, particularly with a focus on HVAC, mechanical, or structural steelwork sectors.
  • Proficiency in multitasking and time management.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Conducting site surveys across the UK and Europe, acquiring precise measurements and specifications to facilitate accurate project planning.
  • Coordinating design activities with stakeholders to ensure project success and adherence to specifications.
  • Crafting detailed manufacturing and installation drawings to steer the seamless execution of the project.
  • Generating general arrangement drawings detailing project layouts for clarity and uniformity among stakeholders.
  • Participating in both on-site and online design meetings, collaborating with team members to ensure alignment with client requirements.
