LTF Recruitment are seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Teaching Assistant to join our partner school in Wembley. As a Speech and Language Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students in Key Stage 3 who have speech and language needs, providing tailored support to enhance their communication skills and overall educational experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to develop speech and language skills.
- Implement individualised education plans in collaboration with speech therapists and teachers.
- Assist in creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Provide guidance and support during classroom activities and assessments.
- Monitor student progress and communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Experience working with students with speech and language needs preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting student learning.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in speech and language therapy or education
