A&M EDM is a highly successful, engineering organisation based over 2 sites in Smethwick. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced CNC Turner to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up and operating CNC lathes to produce precision components for various industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes to produce high-quality components to precise specifications.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate production.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools and materials for each job.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure that they meet quality standards.
  • Perform regular maintenance on machines to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines and production processes.

Requirements:

  • Experience in operating CNC lathes ideally Mazak or Hurco
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming and operating procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
