Our client (a family-owned company) is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join their Mechanical Department. This role offers the opportunity to work within a highly proficient team in a lower tier COMAH facility.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience in mechanical preventative and reactive maintenance in industrial settings, including work on gearboxes, pumps, mechanical seals, and pipework
- Proficiency in mechanical plant installation and modification
- Knowledge of statutory inspections, including pressure testing, plant integrity, and commissioning
- Familiarity with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and other technical information
- Adherence to company safe systems of work and permit to work systems
Qualifications/Training:
- Minimum RQF level 3 (e.g. City & Guilds level 3) in Mechanical Fitting/Engineering
- Ideally, completion of a recognised Mechanical apprenticeship
- Preferably trained in MEWP’s, Abrasive Wheels, and Confined Spaces
