Position Overview: Mechanical Fitter
They are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a dynamic team. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing water treatment equipment, ensuring its reliability and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to the seamless operation of water treatment plants, supporting our mission to provide safe and sustainable water solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Installation and Maintenance: Install, inspect, and maintain mechanical components, including pumps, valves, pipelines, and filtration systems.
- Repair and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards during all tasks.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, technicians, and other team members to optimize system performance.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Mechanical Fitter, preferably in the water industry.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering) are advantageous.
- Skills: Proficient in reading technical drawings, using hand tools, and operating machinery.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently.
