Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the children's home, ensuring a safe, caring a nurturing environment.
- Lead, manage and support a team of care staff, providing guidance, training and development opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and best practice guidelines, including Ofsted Standards
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of each child, promoting their physical, emotional and social development.
- Manage budgets, resources and administrative tasks to ensure the efficient running of the home.
- Build string relationships with the children, families, external agencies and stakeholders to support the well-being and development of children.
- Respond to incidents and emergencies with professionalism and sensitivity ensuring the safety and well-being of the children and staff
Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a managerial role within a Children's Residential setting
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management of Residential Childcare
- At least 5 years experience in a role relevant to Residential Childcare
- A full UK driving licence
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and manage a team
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and best practice
