We are looking for an enthusiastic friendly, outgoing and motivated individual to join our clients team on a permanent basis working as a Class 1 Showroom Driver that will also be involved in preparing vehicles to the highest standards.
You will drive one of the three mobile show vehicles which are fitted out with products to replicate a showroom. The trucks are then driven to different areas of the UK and Ireland in order to support the Area Sales Managers with gaining display areas and generating increased sales for their products.
This is an easy role (hopefully enjoyable) with nothing too strenuous.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Driving one of the Roper Rhodes across the UK and Ireland
- Truck to arrive at customer premises on time, clean and presentable, ready for our Sales Managers to present to our customers
- Set up and break down procedure set out, to ensure products are kept in good condition. Daily checks and cleaning are essential
- Expectation of the role is that you will be away from home Monday to Friday each week.
- Some weekend working will be required when vehicle is driving long distance
- Hotels and meal expenses provided
- Company phone and fuel card provided
- Uniform provided
- Expectation that when the vehicle is being re-fitted or off the road for any reason that you would undertake other driving duties or work within the warehouse
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 7.5t licence required
- Driver CPC
- Digital tacho card required
Behaviour and Competencies:
- As the role is customer facing, expectation is that you will arrive on time, and be courteous at all times to the Sales Manager, Customers or any other member of the public
- Be able to plan your route working with the Sales Manager so that you have enough time to get to your calls as required
- Ensure that the truck and products within the truck are kept in a pristine condition for presentation to our customers
Salary & Benefits:
- Basic salary is 27,659 pa based on a 39 hour week
- Overtime payable after 39 hours at time and a third Mon-Fri, time and a half on Saturday and double time on a Sunday

You will be responsible for overseeing the full operation of the mobile showroom to ensure it is running smoothly and efficiently and maintain a clean and organised store environment.
No Lifting or Handballing and full training will be provided to the right person.
