Job Title: Senior Accountant - become the Practice leader within 12 months!

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per year

Are you an experienced Senior or Semi-Senior Accountant looking to join a progressive and client-focused accountancy Practice?
Our client, an established local Accountancy branch, is seeking a qualified accountant to join their team in Wetherby.

As a Senior Accountant, you will have the opportunity to manage the Branch within 12-months!
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts preparation and/or file reviews
- Finalisation of accounts and CT Returns
- Preparing/reviewing Self-Assessment tax returns
- Reviewing/submission of VAT Returns
- Building strong relationships with clients and providing ongoing support
- Acting as the go-to person for advice and guidance within the office
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in UK general practice and a strong background in accounts preparation, taxation, and VAT.
ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualification (or equivalent experience) is preferred.
Additional Knowledge and Skills:
- Payroll, auto-enrolment, and Construction Industry Scheme
- Money Laundering regulations
- Understanding of latest legislation
While experience in client tax review meetings, management accounts, staff supervision, and introductions for value-added services is preferred, our client is willing to provide full training and support in these areas.
