SEND Complaints Officer - Hybrid working from WR5 - 20.85 Per Hour UMR

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Do you have the skills to turn challenges into opportunities for improvement? I am looking for a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our team as a SEND Complaints Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough Stage 1 investigations independently and produce detailed written responses.
  • Track and analyze complaints, producing insightful performance reports.
  • Identify key themes from complaints and collaborate with SEND Services to implement improvements.
  • Receive and address complaints promptly to seek swift resolutions.
  • Keep meticulous records of complaints and generate quarterly and annual reports.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and best practices to provide accurate advice and interpretation.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external organizations to ensure comprehensive responses and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For:

  • Extensive background in SEND services, statutory complaints handling, and effective service improvement.
  • Deep understanding of SEND legislation, educational needs, and government initiatives.
  • Exceptional skills in both written and oral communication, with a talent for clear, concise report writing and influencing through strong argumentation.
  • A pragmatic approach with excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and across organizational boundaries to achieve the best outcomes for children.
