Research & Development Engineer

For over 60 years, Reed’s engineering and manufacturing specialists have been recruiting professionals like you for permanent, temporary and contract positions.We are currently working with an organisation in South Essex who are looking to hire a Research & Development (R&D) Engineer.

The organisation are widely considered as pioneers within their field of manufacturing, and invest a large amount of their annual revenue on R&D, with their HQ being home to an extensive R&D facility.

Contract: Full Time, PermanentSalary: Up to £45k

Hours: 08.30-17.00 Mon-FriResponsibilities:

• Create detailed product designs and specifications using Solidworks
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in engineering 
• Collaborate with other engineers and cross functional teams during the product development process
• Full involvement in all aspects of the design/build process for model updates, new models, custom and special builds

Experience Required:

• Solid knowledge of mechanics/electronic
• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
• Proficient in SolidWorks  
• Driver with access to own vehicle
