My client is a well-established manufacturing company based in Wigan. They are seeking a experienced Finance manager to join the team on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract basis. You will be responsible for managing the finance department.

Description

You will be responsible for:

• Oversee the financial operations of the organisation and ensure timely and accurate financial reports and practices.
• Create, coordinate, and evaluate the financial programs and supporting information systems of the company to include budgeting and tax planning.
• Approve and coordinate changes and improvements in automated financial and management information systems for the company.
• Budget and Cashflow forecasting.
• Manage the Purchase ledger and sales ledger.
• Manage the credit control function.
• Support and advise the management team on financial planning and budgeting.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
• Manage investments and reserves of the company.
• Train the finance department and other staff to take over certain financial responsibilities.
• Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations.

Profile

A successful Finance Manager should have:

• Strong understanding of financial regulations and standards.
• Highly proficient in financial software and MS Office.
• Excellent organisational, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
