Health and Safety Manager - National £45,000 - £55,000 + car/car allowance + full benefits package Wigan - National roleHSE Recruitment have been engaged by a leading retailer to source a Health and Safety Manger in Wigan covering the UK where you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing health and safety strategies, policies, and procedures across gyms and leisure centres across the UK.You will perform gap analysis for health and safety data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to enhance the overall safety performance.Responsibilities include:
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve health and safety strategies aligned with organisational goals and industry best practices. •
  • Create health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
  • Empower managers and colleagues with training, resources, and support to foster a safety-conscious culture throughout the organisation.
  • Conducting regular audits and inspections across all gym facilities. 
  • Identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to enhance the overall safety performance.
  • Confidently communicate with internal stakeholders, external agencies, and regulatory bodies to promote a positive safety image for the organisation. 
Experience required:
  • Nebosh Diploma or equivalent or working towards (if lots of experience will look at nebosh certificate)
  • Leisure, gym or swim experience and background within health and safety
  • Legionella, water treatment experience
  • Able to integrate into a team
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to communicate and present to a board
  • Safeguarding experience
  • Full driving license
