Do you have a genuine passion to work with children and support them by creating a positive impact in their lives?

Do you have the ability to encourage pupils to actively participate in learning and classroom activities?

If yes then read with me! We are currently looking for an experienced TA to work with primary school pupils in Wigan. In this role you will play a vital role in nurturing curiosity in pupils and supporting them to learn and innovate, helping teachers in delivering lessons, assessing pupils progress, tests and assignments.

Job responsibilities:

  • Help teachers prepare lesson materials.
  • Set up tidy classrooms for lessons.
  • Work with pupils to make sure they understand the lessons.
  • Watch, record and report the progress that pupils make.
  • Maintaining a positive and supportive demeanour to encourage a constructive learning environment.
  • Being able to adapt to changing situations and tasks within the classroom environment.
  • Be patient to work with pupils who may require extra time.

Preferred skills:

  • Clear communication is essential for interacting with pupils, teachers etc
  • Flexible and adaptable.
  • Being able to troubleshoot issues that arise in the classroom.
  • Creatively engaging activities and materials to support pupil learning.

Requirements:

  • An Enhanced Child DBS or willingness to undertake one ( we can help with this ) .
  • Good knowledge of the UK national curriculum.
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills.
