Adele Carr Recruitment has partnered with a longstanding client to recruit an Account Manager to join the Hindley Green (Wigan) office. This is a permanent role with excellent growth opportunities and a benefits package including an excellent salary, 25 days holiday and free parking.My client is a market-leading manufacturing business looking to bring someone into their family who has had experience working in a similar Account Management / Customer Service & Sales environment. This role will be an excellent opportunity for training, professional development and career growth.The Account Manager will be a central point of contact between customers and all internal departments and will have a key role within the business ensuring the flow of orders through production to despatch. Due to the vast variety of the business's products, every day will be dynamic, varied and interesting. Salary & Benefits:

  • Circa. £35,000 per annum (Negotiable depending on experience)
  • Monday-Friday, 37 hours per week (9-5 or 8:30-4:30)
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays

What will be expected of you:

  • Liaising with customers daily via telephone, email and face-to-face meetings.
  • Building and maintaining relationships, handling any queries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Processing of sales orders and entering into the system
  • Account management including identifying opportunities and being proactive with account development
  • Liaising with Technical, Production and Warehouse teams to get information on where orders are up to
  • Keeping customers up to date with delivery details and any issues with orders
  • Preparation of reports
  • Systems management, including a master list of prices, customer tracker, validation of order quantities, and delivery dates.
  • Acting as liaison between internal departments and customers providing a continued high level of service.
  • Attending internal meetings, preparing statistics, taking & distributing notes and follow-up actions
  • Attending conferences and trade shows, periodically
  • Assisting with export - Planning, organising, coordinating, and controlling all activities of the export of goods and services to other countries
  • Coordinating shipping and freight movements

What we are looking for:

  • 5+ years experience in a customer focussed account management or CS/Sales environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent relationship/rapport building skills
  • Ability to "spin plates", coordinate, plan and execute tasks using own initiative
  • Ability to use computer programs such as MS Office and ERP systems
  • Commercial awareness - Be able to identify opportunities
