Randstad are recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join Wigan Council's Duty Team. This is a full time role, with a fantastic pay rate of £40 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • The nature of the work within the Duty Service can be described as fast paced, which means lots of opportunities to hold varying complexity of cases whilst being able to transfer work quickly once a plan has been identified.
  • Case transfer points include the initial child protection case conference, the first CLA review, the first PLO meeting, the 3rd CIN meeting.
  • In our duty service you will manage and conduct a range of assessments, planning, delivery of intervention and reviewing the impact and progress of outcome for children open to social care services.
  • Through the delivery of high quality practice you will ensure the right support and interventions are in place for children and their families and that children are protected from significant harm.
  • You will have knowledge of children's services legislative frameworks and legal proceedings and have the ability to make complex information accessible for every audience .
  • You will ensure the delivery of a high quality and effective social work practice to support, empower and promote independence, strengths and assets of both children, families and within their local communities.

Requirements:

  • Social Work England registered
  • Social Work Qualification
  • Enhanced DBS
