Reeson Education is working with a vibrant and inclusive primary school in the WN1 area of Wigan to recruit a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher. This SEN Teacher role is available to start as soon as possible and offers a fantastic long-term opportunity with the potential to secure a permanent position.

The school is seeking a confident and forward-thinking SEN Teacher to take an active role in developing SEND provision across the school. You will work closely with the SLT and Deputy Head to strengthen SEND practice, support staff across key stages, and teach a small group of pupils within the school's specialist SEN unit.

About the SEN Teacher Role:
  • This SEN Teacher role will involve leading teaching and learning within a small SEN class of up to 9 pupils across mixed year groups.

  • You will work collaboratively with the Deputy Head and wider SLT to review, enhance, and implement SEND strategies and interventions across the school.

  • The SEN Teacher will support children with a variety of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language delays, and other moderate learning difficulties.

  • You'll have the opportunity to shape the future of the school's SEN provision and play a key part in its long-term development.

The Ideal SEN Teacher Will:
  • Be a qualified SEN Teacher with experience in primary or specialist settings.

  • Be confident working with a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD, and SEMH.

  • Have a deep understanding of inclusive teaching practices and how to adapt learning to meet the needs of diverse learners.

  • Be proactive in building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.

  • Be keen to make a lasting impact on the development of SEN provision within the school.
