23days holiday + BH

Hours : Mon- Thur 7.30 -16.00, Fri - 06.00 - 13.00

Working for a well established and secure manufacturing organisation, MacArthur Recruitment are helping them look for an experienced Electrical Engineer to support a range of electrical machinery and equipment; mainly single and three phase supply in a manufacturing environment as part of a friendly team with a great manager.

Your background and experience could be from virtually any electrical environment e.g. domestic, commercial, industrial, manufacturing, etc.. They are very open and flexible as further on and off job training can be provided. Your attitude and willingness to throw yourself into the role, and take the opportunity to make it your own ideally, are important.

Responsibilitiesfor the role of Electrical Engineer :

  • Carry out breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance service tasks on machinery / work equipment / facilities as required
  • Utilise the maintenance schedule system
  • Take ownership of your role and section – empowered and supported to create and implement your own solutions
  • Carry out installation work as and when required
  • Single and three phase electrical systems / machinery
  • Assist in project work
  • Health and safety
  • Follow at all times the appropriate safe systems of work / maintenance as provided and displayed within the department
  • Follow all company rules and standards
  • Some overtime
  • Participate as an effective part of a team assisting others as requested or required by other engineering staff
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

Background for the role of Electrical Engineer:

  • Electrical background – eg domestic, commercial, industrial, manufacturing etc
  • Some sort of electrical qualification would be ideal however experience is key (eg C&G, NVQ, 2391, 18th Edition, ONC, HND, etc.)
  • Positive attitude to work and colleagues
  • Team work
