- Managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring all compliance work is completed within the business target dates.
- Overseeing a small team that completes small accounting duties
- Reviewing and filing year-end accounts, tax returns, and capital gains tax computations.
- Assisting with the implementation of R&D Tax claims into the accounts and tax returns of limited companies.
- Providing support on payroll services for the wider client base.
- Preparing and reviewing periodic management accounts and information.
- Advising on the improvement of profitability and business efficiency through continuous monitoring and implementing effective business controls.
- Assisting with the training and development of less experienced team members.
- Build relationships with new clients and upsell other services.
- At least 5 years' experience of working in a practice.
- Be AAT or ACCA qualified or part-qualified
- Experience using TaxCalc, Xero software and various cloud-based accounting software preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients. Engange in conversation proactively.
- A proactive approach to introducing new clients to the company and promoting its services.
- Full driving license
