Your new companyHays Recruitment are proud to be supporting an SEN Secondary School in the Winsford area as they require motivated and reliable teaching assistants due to additional funding. This is an academic SEN school that generally supports students with a variety of needs including ASD, LD, downs syndrome, and cerebral palsy. This is a long-term contract that will start after the May half-term.Your new roleIn your new role as an SEN Teaching Assistant within this school, you will be supporting working in students across Years 7 - 11 with a variety of needs. You will work under the instruction of class teachers to aid in the promotion of a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. You will support in general classroom management, ensuring that students have access to all classroom resources and aid in behaviour management by using positive behaviour promotion. You will hold intervention and booster sessions in core subjects and use your initiative in the classroom to identify which students may need additional support as to ensure that all students reach their full academic potential.What you'll need to succeedTo be considered for this role you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as previous referencebale experience working with children and young people with complex needs, as well as:

  • A full driving license and access to a vehicle is advantageous but not essential
  • Experience working with children between the ages of 11 - 17
