Aspion Search are currently seeking an experienced, electrically biased Maintenance Engineer tojoin a growing organisation.  

Monday - Friday OR 4 on 4 off 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on blow molding machines and auxiliary equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues promptly to minimize downtime and production interruptions.
  • Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics to identify potential problems and implement corrective actions proactively.
  • Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities efficiently, minimizing disruptions to production schedules.
  • Participate in the installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of machinery and production lines.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and spare parts inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies to create a safe working environment for all employees.

About You:  

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (preferred not essential)
  • Proven experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of blow molding machinery and associated equipment, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
