With a competitive salary ranging from 50,000 to 75,000, this role is ideal for both experienced Registered Managers and ambitious Deputies ready to step up.
- 50,000: Suitable for a Deputy Manager ready to progress into a Registered Manager role, with appropriate qualifications and leadership experience.
- Up to 75,000: For experienced Registered Managers with a proven track record of delivering high standards in children's residential care.
The Role
The Registered Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards. This position offers the chance to lead a team that supports vulnerable children and young people in reaching their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clear leadership and direction to a team of residential childcare professionals.
- Maintain and promote the highest standards of safeguarding, child protection, and compliance.
- Effectively manage rotas, budgets, reporting, and operational needs.
- Build strong working relationships with local authorities, schools, and families.
- Create a supportive, high-performance culture that enables both children and staff to thrive.
Candidate Requirements:
- A minimum of two years' experience in a senior residential childcare role (e.g., Deputy or Senior Practitioner).
- In-depth understanding of safeguarding practices and children's home regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to complete within three years).
- A passion for nurturing the potential of children and young people with complex needs.
