Assistant Management Accountant

Are you an experienced Assistant Management Accountant looking to join a fast paced business with experience of reporting and presenting key financial data?This role in the Finance team is to support the Financial Controller with their long term stability and success. You will be a part qualified accountant preparing management accounts, fixed assets, reconciliations, as well as overseeing accounting procedures, the purchase ledger and other associated duties.Working hybrid in their offices in Witham this Assistant Management Accountant, 18 month, fixed term contract role is paying up to £40,000 and is perfect if you are looking to make a difference in a rewarding environment and are eager to join a fast paced team.What will you do as a Assistant Management Accountant?

• Gather and analyse financial information for internal use
• Preparing management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assume responsibility of accounting procedures
• Produce VAT returns
• Maintain the fixed assets register including capitalisation of assets, disposals, and new projects
• Supervise the purchase ledger

What will you need as a Assistant Management Accountant?

• Proven experience as management accountant
• Solid knowledge of basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices
• Excellent knowledge of reporting
• Working knowledge of financial software and MS Office
• A problem-solver with attention to detail
• AAT Qualified or working towards professional qualifications
