Occupational Hygienist / Indoor Air Quality Consultant

An employee-owned environmental consultancy is seeking a motivated early-career Occupational Hygienist / Indoor Air Quality Consultant to join its growing team. The organisation specialises in air quality and dust monitoring, technical consultancy, equipment innovation and laboratory analysis.

Role Summary
In this diverse position, you will:
Conduct occupational exposure assessments (dusts, fibres, VOCs, gases and other substances) across a variety of sites.
Prepare concise, high-quality interpretative reports.
Support noise exposure assessments and LEV testing (full training provided).
Assist with client queries, producing quotations and contributing to business development.
The role is primarily office-based, with regular travel to sites nationwide and the option for hybrid working once training is complete.
Candidate Requirements
Essential
Minimum 1 year's experience in occupational or industrial hygiene, including monitoring airborne contaminants and noise.
Strong communication skills and proven ability to write technical reports.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to analyse and interpret large data sets.
Solid understanding of COSHH, EH40 and key MDHS methodologies.
Full UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK.
Desirable
BOHS membership.
Degree in Occupational Hygiene, Environmental Science or similar.
Familiarity with indoor air quality frameworks (e.g., BREEAM).
Experience with LEV testing or supporting sales/enquiry processes.
Confident client-facing manner and ability to work independently.
Willingness to travel and occasionally stay overnight.
