Description

Payroll and Reporting Specialist - Woking

  • Ensuring that colleagues are to be paid correctly and on time.
  • Ensuring that all reporting requirements are completed within the deadlines, including monthly board reports, monthly scorecard reports and weekly KPI reports.
  • Assess, respond, and deliver against any new and ad-hoc reporting requests.
  • Calculating adjustments for new starters, leavers as well as job changes, making sure the details being entered are correct.
  • Dealing with all aspects of statutory payments and deductions, RTI reporting and period closure processes
  • Ensure compliance with auto enrolment regulations.
  • Uploading monthly pension reports to the pensions company portals.
  • Processing high volumes of monthly temporary payments, inputted by operational colleagues in order to identify errors.
  • Processing court orders and supplying information for external third parties, such as Child Support Agency and DWP.
  • Manual Tax and NI Calculations needed for payments outside of the normal payroll processing timetable.
  • Work with third party pension providers to upload monthly contributions.
  • Processing and issuing leaver letters, payslips, pension letters and P45's.
  • Cross train to support with the HR Administration tasks e.g., colleague changes administration within the HRIS system when required.
  • Develop effective working partnerships with HR Administration Team, HR Business Partners, Operational and Support Managers.
  • Certain activities within the Funeral Partners Group are regulated by Financial Conduct Authority ("FCA"), including all aspects associated with offering funeral plans to customers. Your role will not be directly involved in this regulated activity. However, in the course of your employment, you may be able to engage in regulated activity, at which point, additional responsibilities will apply to your role. Until such time as you are deemed competent by the business in carrying out regulated activity, your role will not be able to discuss funeral plans with clients.
  • Even though your role is not directly involved in regulated activity, we may nevertheless require you to undertake some training associated with understanding how to operate in a business which is regulated. For example, we may provide you with training associated with how to abide by the FCA's general conduct rules.
  • Work with the HR team sharing best practise ensuring the people policies are kept up to date and meet the company's needs, ensuring FPL is compliant with any new legislation.
  • Support people projects and initiatives.
  • Promote the Colleague Charter, vision and values and standards of FPL.

Profile

A successful candidate will have experience with the above, be available on short notice & have strong Excel skills

Job Offer

Salary £35,000 - £38,000

Hybrid - 1 day a week in the office
