An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to join their growing team.

The ideal candidate will ideally come from an engineering sales background. Prove strong sales experience, along with able to successfully identify new business opportunities.

Role Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • To work with the Head of Sales and Commercial Director to establish a Sales Plan.
  • To drive growth of the business portfolio, along with the products they manufacture.
  • To establish a sales pipeline from new and existing customers.
  • To manage all Sales opportunities from initial enquiry through to supply of equipment.
  • Work closely with the Product Manager, to identify customer requirements and to provide input to product roadmaps and contribute to the commercial development pipeline.
  • To manage and create accurate, detailed and engaging proposals to fulfill customer enquiries.
  • To manage responses to tenders, RFQs and any other forms of detailed requests for information from customers.
  • To support with the administration and delivery of orders.
  • To conduct marketing and sales analysis across the UK.
  • Conduct customer demonstrations at customer sites.
  • To assist other Group businesses located in Europe and US potentially with travel requirements.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong sales skills from an engineering or manufacturing background.
  • Can identify new business opportunities, build relationships and generate targets
  • Be of university degree level
  • Be an excellent collaborator and communicator, with an open and honest management style
  • Strong negotiable skills
