Job title: Trainee / Junior CAD Technician
Sector: Building Services - HVAC / Mechanical Sector
Location: Albrighton, Wolverhampton
Salary & Package: £25,000 to £30,000 dependent upon qualification / experience
The Opportunity
To join a growing, successful National HVAC / Mechanical Contractor, working within the Building Services sector, with offices based in South Wales, Wolverhampton and London, and a client base largely from repeat custom, maintaining longstanding relationships, based upon the technical expertise provided.
An opportunity has arisen to recruit a Trainee / Junior CAD Technician, to work with the Design / Technical team.
The successful applicant will be able to:
- Produce 2D CAD layouts from design sketches created by other team members.
- Modify customer drawings and layouts.
- Import manufacturer's information into working drawings (blocks and schedules).
- Liaise with Engineers / Project Managers for drawing requirements, plotting drawings for issue and recording all drawing information received from outside sources.
- Ensure the correct level and accuracy of technical content on all projects.
- Work on a variety of projects within the commercial and industrial fields.
- Contribute to the delivery of projects within the team and within program.
The applicant must possess:
- Knowledge of AutoCAD gained through qualification.
- Building Services experience (desirable).
- Knowledge of VRF, ductwork and pipework layouts (desirable).
- Self-motivation and capacity to work to deadlines and timescales.
- An organised approach and positive outlook with the ability to work on own initiative.
- Good verbal, written and IT communication skills.
Other attributes:
- Ability to liaise with client's operational staff and present a professional image.
Salary
- £25,000 to £30,000 depending on experience.
