Location: Albrighton, Wolverhampton

Salary & Package: £25,000 to £30,000 dependent upon qualification / experience   

The Opportunity

To join a growing, successful National HVAC / Mechanical Contractor, working within the Building Services sector, with offices based in South Wales, Wolverhampton and London, and a client base largely from repeat custom, maintaining longstanding relationships, based upon the technical expertise provided.     

An opportunity has arisen to recruit a Trainee / Junior CAD Technician, to work with the Design / Technical team.

The successful applicant will be able to:

  • Produce 2D CAD layouts from design sketches created by other team members.
  • Modify customer drawings and layouts.
  • Import manufacturer's information into working drawings (blocks and schedules).
  • Liaise with Engineers / Project Managers for drawing requirements, plotting drawings for issue and recording all drawing information received from outside sources.
  • Ensure the correct level and accuracy of technical content on all projects.
  • Work on a variety of projects within the commercial and industrial fields.
  • Contribute to the delivery of projects within the team and within program.

The applicant must possess:

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD gained through qualification.
  • Building Services experience (desirable).
  • Knowledge of VRF, ductwork and pipework layouts (desirable).
  • Self-motivation and capacity to work to deadlines and timescales.
  • An organised approach and positive outlook with the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Good verbal, written and IT communication skills.

Other attributes:

  • Ability to liaise with client's operational staff and present a professional image.

Salary

  • £25,000 to £30,000 depending on experience.
