Location:Wolverhampton - on site role
Salary£30,000 - £33,000
9 - 12 month contract

I’m working with a manufacturing business, that has sites across the UK who are now recruiting into a brand-new position supporting c500 employees.
What makes this role different or better than other roles I hear you say?
This role will be the sole HR person on this site so this means you will have responsibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to really elevate and stretch your skills and experience. You will of course have the support of your boss the HR Manager and a wider HR team on a nearby site.
What you’ll be doing as the HR Advisor:

With your existing Employee Relations expertise, you will manage all first line ER issues ranging from absence, performance, AWOL, sickness.

Provide effective advice and guidance on all absence management cases

Working closely with Managers on site and providing sound HR Advice whilst providing coaching and guidance to help them become stronger managers.

Ensure new starters have great inductions and alsofacilitate any refresher training for existing employees

Review inductions and onboarding and ensure your employees get the possible start.

Promote 121 check-ins, performance evaluations, and individual development plans, assisting the HR & Development Officer and HR Manager in guiding line managers to grasp the processes and enhance their proficiency in these areas.

Promote training & development and make sure it’s embedded, ensure managers are engaged with this process.

Collaborate with both the management and training teams to aid in the delivery of site training, ensuring that training requirements are recognized and suitable measures are implemented

Working closely with occupational health
Skills you’ll need:

A background in a busy environment and an absolute love for employee relations.

An ability to communicate with all levels from shop floor to managers

Able to handle conflict and hold your own.

Although you will be supported by a great HR Manger and wider HR team, this role needs someone who can work independently, be self-starter and able to manage mutiplepriorities.

As an experienced HR Advisor you will be able to show you have partnered with stakeholders and built relationships within sizable environments
