Service Care Solutions is working alongside a forward-thinking local authority, based in the West Midlands, which is seeking an experienced Childcare Paralegal to join their Legal Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to important public law work, supporting solicitors in delivering high-quality legal services for children and families.Role: Childcare Paralegal Umbrella Rate: £20-£25phPAYE Inc Rate: £17.98 - £22.32phContract Length: 3-Month Contract (Maternity Cover) – Potential to ExtendLocation: West Midlands – Office Attendance Twice a WeekKey responsibilities included with the Childcare Paralegal role:
  • Assist and support solicitors in public law cases, including taking instructions.
  • Draft court applications, pleadings, and legal documents.
  • Manage your own caseload of private law matters and information requests.
  • Use case management systems (preferably IKEN) and HMCTS Portal.
Key requirements:
  • Proven experience in childcare law and a passion for the sector.
  • Previous work in local government and/or a legal office environment.
  • Experience of case management systems (ideally IKEN) and IT systems including HMCTS Portal.
