We are working with a well-established and market leading health equipment business, and they are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join the business ASAP.

This is a busy position and responsible for providing HR support on a range of generalist areas to a client group across 7 sites in the Southeast. The role would be ideal for a HR Business Partner or experienced HR Advisor looking for a new opportunity with a well-established business. Supporting a regional client group, you will be responsible for fully managing your own diary and supporting the business as required. The role will be home based, with regular travel to the 7 sites across the month (ideally 3 days per week on site).

Working as part of a regional team and supporting a multi-site client group of c350 employees, the focus of the role is to ensure the smooth running of the HR function and the development, implementation and monitoring of HR processes across the whole of the employment life cycle i.e., from HR administration, recruitment, end to end ER case management, attendance/ case management and performance matters, through to employee exit.

Key duties will include;

  • Working as part of a busy regional HR team reporting into the Head of HR
  • Generalist HR role, responsible for a client group of c350 employees across c7 sites based in the Southeast (Ipswich, Essex, Bedfordshire, Luton, Woodford Green, Rochester, and Norwich)
  • Support across the full employee lifecycle, including HR administration, recruitment, ER, business partnering, training, HR projects and all day-to-day HR support
  • Providing HR advice and queries to employees and managers
  • Support the business with ER cases including sickness, absence management, capability, grievances, and disciplinary matters
  • Providing, guidance and coaching to managers on a range of people matters and non-complex ER matters
  • Communicate and maintain full local compliance to legislative, HR and company standards, policies and procedures reviewing and updating all as appropriate
  • Develop and implement training and development initiatives to meet the current and future needs of the business, developing future potential/succession plans and improving underperformance.
  • Coach and build the capability of senior/middle managers to ensure future organisational success.
  • Build and maintain a positive organisational culture at regional/local level to aid engagement and reduce attrition.
  • Lead and participate in HR projects, including employee engagement and well-being projects.
  • Overseeing and monitoring staff performance, development, and appraisals
  • Oversee and assist with recruitment activities (with support of a recruitment team); job descriptions, job advertisements, offer letters, contracts of employment, contract amendments and sitting on interview panels as required
  • Develop and deliver a robust suite of HR KPI’s and data to support improvements within the region
  • Provide comprehensive support with TUPE activities
  • Review HR policies and ensure they are in line with best practice and current legislation, and reviewed as part of wider HR strategy
  • Undertake project work as agreed with Head of HR

For this role candidates will need to have proven HR experience at this level and ideally hold or be studying towards CIPD qualification. Experience within a similar sector would be advantageous - healthcare industries, nursing homes, care providers, logistics, warehouse or distribution. The client group is a mix of blue and white collar, so all sectors would be considered if relevant HR experience across a varied similar sized client group can be demonstrated.

This role is a true generalist HR Business Partnering role, from supporting with and completing HR administration through to advisory service to the business and involvement on key HR projects. Candidates need to be hands on, have strong operational HR experience and be prepared to support across the full employee lifecycle (including HR administration).
