A well-established company based in Worcester is seeking a talented CAD Designer to join their team. This role, reporting to the Technical Manager, focuses on designing investment casting tooling and fixtures using CAD software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create designs using Unigraphics CAD software for investment casting tooling and fixtures.
- Develop detailed models for manufacturing purposes.
- Produce technical drawings and documentation.
- Collaborate closely with CNC programmers and toolmakers to ensure design feasibility and accuracy.
- Attend design kick-off and development meetings.
- Communicate with customers regarding technical and design matters.
- Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and parts lists for ordering materials.
- Work with management to achieve company policies and business objectives.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental guidelines and report any concerns.
- Professional qualification such as HNC/HND or a Degree in a relevant field.
- Familiarity with CNC manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of injection tooling is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and with meticulous attention to detail.

- Strong presentation skills and confidence in interactions.
