- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including a confident telephone manner with the ability to engage and build rapport quickly with people to assess their needs in a timely manner
- Ability to handle extremly sensitive calls/contacts to the service with empathy, professionalism, and a non-judgemental approach
- Youre required to adhere to the defined remit and work to service and professional boundaries
- Assess the customers set of circumstances to each case assigned and be as fair as possible.
- Liaise with the customers, keeping them calm and help with their situation
- Experience in support of substance abuse previously would be essential.

- Education - Psychology, Health Science, Social Sciences, Health Promotion, Education or Counselling diploma
- A relevant post graduate higher qualification e.g., a MSc in Counselling, Health Education/ Promotion, Public Health
- Qualification in drugs, alcohol, or tobacco studies/smoking cessation.
