We are seeking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a well-established and highly respected company within the Construction sector.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Subcontractor ledger - invoice processing, CIS returns.
  • Processing weekly BACS payments.
  • Accounts payable.
  • Accounts receivable.
  • Cash Management.
  • Bank Reconciliations.
  • Dealing with general enquiries.
  • Year-end processes and assisting Auditors.
  • System maintenance and development.
  • Assistance with costings.
  • Other ad-hoc accounts and administrative tasks as required.

Skills, Attributes & Qualifications:

  • Ability to positively contribute within a small friendly finance team working in a demanding environment.
  • A professional attitude with excellent organisational skills to prioritise own workload.
  • A thorough, methodical, and logical approach demonstrating problem solving skills to complete tasks when required.
  • Accurate data entry skills demonstrating a high level of diligence.
  • Actively seek ways to enhance your knowledge and contribute and support the team looking for continuous process improvements.
  • Have a positive can-do attitude.
  • Previous experience in the construction industry and dealing with subcontractors would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.
