Role Overview: Project Planner

Salary: Approximately 45,000PA

Location: Workington, Cumbria

We are currently seeking a Project Planner to join our team, responsible for producing and maintaining detailed project schedules to ensure efficient project delivery. The right candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our project teams, communicating progress, and proposing solutions to mitigate potential issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate comprehensive Tender and Project programmes based on Commercial estimates, Logic diagrams, and norms.
  • Regularly update and maintain project schedules with actual and forecast progress, percent completes, and earned value, reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) to Senior Management, Project Managers, Engineers, QS's, and Cost Engineers as needed.
  • Gather and integrate data from various sources, including Manufacturing Planner, Project Engineers, Buyers, and Commercial team.
  • Collaborate with Planning Team Leader, Project Planners, Engineers, and Managers to provide progress updates and address impacts, ensuring visibility of programme schedules across departments.
  • Identify and propose solutions to address potential progress issues and conflicts, supporting the development of revised workshop plans.
  • Assist in the production of Manufacturing forward load as required.
  • Support the Project team in presenting project progress at regular client meetings.

Qualifications/Experience/Attributes:

  • Experience with Primavera P6 or Microsoft planning software preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and self-motivated team player with the capacity to work independently.

Thorough and detail-oriented.

Experience in manufacturing processes within an Engineering Manufacturing environment desirable.

Engineering qualification desirable but not essential.
