We are seeking an experienced Female Rehabilitation Support Worker to work with a lovely friendly lady with an acquired brain injury (ABI), in her own home and in the community.

This post would ideally suit someone who enjoys the outdoors and has a love of animals. She has a keen interest in costal and rural walking, caring for her dog, grooming and riding horses along with cuppas out and a good craic.

You will assist her with her mobility and day-to-day living, encouraging her to access the community and help her to participate in hobbies and social activities. You will work in her own home and out in the community on a one-to-one basis.

Duties, hours and pay for the Female Rehabilitation Support Worker:

Duties will include assisting her with daily living skills, attending appointments, social and leisure activities and following therapy programs set by professionals.

The salary for this role is £12.00 per hour, working 16 to 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Key skills, knowledge and experience:

  • You should have previous experience of working in a support worker role.
  • A valid driving licence and your own car is essential.
  • You should preferably be trained to NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or have equivalent experience e.g. completed year 1/level 4 of a recognised health profession degree course
