Force Contracting Services are a well established and successful Civil Engineering contractor operating across the UK & Europe. We have experienced a period of sustained growth and are subsequently looking for a HSE Advisor to join our team on a permanent basis. FCS operate in 5 main sectors; Infrastructure/Utilities, Civil Engineering, Rail, Nuclear & Property Development.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and improve current HSEQ management systems.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
  • Provide HSEQ guidance and support to operational teams, promoting best practices and risk management.
  • Monitor HSEQ training programs of staff at all levels.
  • Deliver internal training programs including inductions to staff at all levels.
  • Assist in the Investigation of incidents, identify root causes, and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare HSEQ reports on request for management teams.
  • Keep ahead of new legislation, industry best practices, and developments in health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Requirements:

  • IOSH Managing Safely, SMSTS or NEBOSH.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the utilities, construction, or civil engineering sectors.
  • A thorough understanding of HSEQ legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
