We are currently looking to recruit Technicians for our Manufacturer of high quality wire ropes client based in Worksop (S80)
Salary: 25,000
Working Hours:
Monday - Friday 07.30am - 16.00pm
Purpose of the Role:
To manufacture and test the full range of products in the Ocean Fibre range of slings, working closely with the Ocean Fibre team and promoting the most efficient working practices within the area of responsibility.
Key areas of responsibility:
- To set up the relevant machines for the various manufacturing processes
- To carry out any testing work which may be necessary.
- To receive fibre for stranding operations quality checking against specification.
- To work with other operators within the facility to ensure maximum efficiency.
- To carry out all necessary quality checks throughout the processing of slings from start to completion
- To carry out all clerical work associated with the manufacturing process.
- To be able to work with the minimum of supervision.
- To carry out basic maintenance duties.
Machines covered by this job specification:
- Creel/twister/sling maker/sewing machines and various testing equipment.
Training:
- Training will be given for all function in the role including all quality/health and safety training which is necessary for the function.
- The operator will benefit from having completed an in-house training in various disciplines related to the job role.
Requirements:
- Qualification G.C.S.E or equivalent in Maths, science, languages
- IT literate
- Knowledge of the principles of quality control in manufacturing
- Ability to use all measuring equipment provided.
Other Skills/Abilities
- Should be able to show initiative when processing products for daily production.
- Correct handling of materials
- To always work safely
- Integrity required in dealing with "finished product "
