An excellent opportunity for a Leasehold Officer to join a supportive team within a Social Housing providerIn this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational aspects of the Leasehold team acting as the in-house expert on all aspects of leasehold management. You will advise and support customers, assisting them to access all of the leasehold and shared owner services.You will manage day to day enquiries from leaseholders and shared owners and their solicitors/agents including maintenance repairs, service charge enquiries and housing management queriesEnsure consultation regarding proposed works and consequent service charges are legally compliant. With the support of the surveyors, lead on and co-ordinate all leaseholder section 20 consultation exercises in respect of major worksReview all standard leases and ensure new leases being issued consider new legislation Process applications under the Preserved Right to Buy and Right to Acquire Schemes, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations to enable qualifying tenants to purchase their homes in accordance with legislationProcess all Shared Ownership new build & re-sales of properties ensuring enquiries from purchasers and solicitors are dealt with inline with our policies and proceduresReview service charges to maximise the income we are entitled to recoverLead the income collection and monitor service charge and major works service charge arrears cases, giving advice and taking appropriate action regarding the recovery of arrearsEnsure all first response complaints from leaseholders and shared owners are dealt withEffectively manage all properties not let under assured or fixed term tenancies, ensuring income is maximised and breaches are dealt with.You should have previous experience of providing a front-line service to customers in social housing or similar organisation  along with knowledge of leasehold managementFor further information about this role, please contact Specialist Social Housing recruiter, Mark Grove, on or apply via this site
