Strategic Finance Business Partner

Venture Recruitment Partners are delighted to be supporting a global brand in the recruitment of a Business Partner for their Strategic Developments team in a newly created position due to capital investment.

This brand-new role will support high value capital projects through the board paper and associated investment appraisal processes, from project inception in the 5-year plan to sign off by the board.

Based at their Basingstoke (or Poole) office with good hybrid working available, we are seeking a high calibre Qualified Finance professional with first-rate business partnering and communication skills.

Candidates will offer a strong academic background and be seeking a move from professional practice or corporate finance into a commercial role or be looking to utilise their commercial financial background in a new and exciting role.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the Head of Strategic Developments to deliver board papers, investment appraisals, and analysis, related to high value capital projects.
• Collaborate with the Head of Strategic Developments, Senior Directors, and wider operational and finance teams, to ensure the best data, insight and analysis is used.
• Supply the Head of Strategic Developments with high quality rigorous research and analysis to support the delivery of projects.
• Act as an independent business partner managing a portfolio of projects.
• Support the Head of Strategic Developments to ensure all board papers are delivered at the appropriate timelines.
• Define and/or improve processes, procedures, roles, and responsibilities, across the business, around the topic of capital investment.

About you:

We are seeking candidates who are qualified CIMA, ACA, or ACCA (or equivalent level) with an ability to challenge and support a wide range of stakeholders alongside first-rate communication, problem solving, presentation, persuasion and rapport building skills.

Candidates will offer an impressive academic background and be seeking a move either from a corporate finance role into a commercial role or be looking to utilise their commercial financial analyst background in a new and exciting role. Strong excel and data skills are a must.

You will have the ability to collate datasets via desktop research and collate and analyse datasets- financial and non-financial and ideally have experience in financial modelling and investment appraisal or evaluations or capital development.
