We design and manufacture AM turn-key solutions based on a process called metal powder bed fusion (or laser melting). Our products are used by customers in their cutting-edge engineering projects, in market sectors ranging from automotive to aerospace.


As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be responsible for developing the assembly systems and test processes for the next generation of Additive Manufacturing products. You’ll be in close collaboration with multi-disciplinary system and sub-system teams where you’ll have opportunities to gain specific domain knowledge, as well as getting involved in state-of-the-art technology within R&D projects.

The position is based at New Mills, our global headquarters and as above does have hybrid working opportunities. From time-to-time, introduction of new software will require certain tasks to be carried out onsite, so you may see flexibility required during key phases of these releases.

Responsibilities

  • Design, development and introduction of new processes for the assembly and testing of new AM products

  • Lead a team of junior/graduate engineers to set and maintain a high-quality standard of software produced

  • Analyse test data and process statistics for a multi-disciplinary team to contribute towards project delivery through test-driven development
     

Key requirements

  • Qualified to degree-level (2:1 or above) in Engineering, Software, Science, Mathematics, or similar technical subject

  • Experience in a similar software engineering position, within a complex and innovative engineering environment

  • Experience developing software in .NET, C# and WPF applications

  • Familiarity working within Agile methodologies
     

Desirable requirements

  • Experience in leading a small engineering team, mentoring junior engineers

  • Experience of developing software suitable for a production environment, as well as an understanding of statistics in relation to production processes (CpK, Gauge R&R, MSA and SPC charts)

  • Awareness of software development systems (Visual Studio, Git, Azure DevOps)
