I am currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join a company enjoying impressive growth. You will work alongside a supportive, hands-on finance director with responsibility for the day to day finances including the processing of purchase and sales ledgers, weekly payroll and aspects of company accounts:
Key Responsibilities:
- Working efficiently and effectively to organise the workload within the accounts function and to ensure customer service is of a high standard.
- Operation and understanding of Sage Accounting software.
- Purchase ledger - Processing supplier invoices, coding, reconciling statements, making payments by monthly BACS run, raising purchase orders.
- Sales Ledger - Price checking and raising sales invoices to meet customer requirements.
- Payroll - Collate and process weekly payroll in Sage, process new starter and leaver documentation, provide reporting to Management.
- Nominal postings and bank reconciliation.
- Maintaining accurate detailed supplier and customer records, setting up new accounts.
- Maintenance of accounts emails.
- Credit Control and inputting remittances.
- Purchasing stationery, PPE and general supplies as directed.
- Working efficiently and effectively unaided and as part of a team.
- Completing any reasonable task/request from Senior Management.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proficient in all Microsoft packages (Teams, Excel) and Sage Line 50.
- Confident in working to strict deadlines.
- Excellent standard of numeracy and grammar.
- Conscientious with attention to detail.
- Approachable attitude to help colleagues and customers.
- Understand the needs of the business and have knowledge to identify and resolve problems effectively.
- To work under pressure in a busy position.
Working Arrangements:
- Salary negotiable DOE
- Pension - Employer 5%, Employee 3%
- 28 days' annual leave inclusive of bank holidays
