Experienced Social Worker Adults

Wrexham County Borough Council are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Social Worker for their Homes for Ukraine Scheme.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all appropriate checks have been completed on host families and for the adults and children arriving from the Ukraine. The social worker will be required to support Ukraine guests and their hosts through home visits which will include written assessments and reviews. The role also entails providing advice and guidance on the support available for both hosts and guests. The social worker will also ensure that any safeguarding concerns are responded to in a timely and appropriate manner. The role requires the candidate to work alongside the responsible lead for the Ukraine scheme and have additional support from a Social Work Manager.

• The candidate must have experience working as a Social Worker
• The candidate must be able to travel to the Wrexham area and have a full UK driving license
• Ukrainian/Polish speakers would be welcomed however this is not an essential requirement as translation support and services are available

• Flexible working hours with part-time hours being considered for the right candidate
• Hyrbid working available
