Our manufacturing plant in Yate seeks a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team. Operating on a two-shift rotation, Monday to Friday, you will provide vital technical support to production, ensuring the achievement of targets for output, quality, efficiency, and productivity.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical control systems, conveyor systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLCs.
  • Provide technical support to ensure smooth operation of production processes.
  • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements and solve technical challenges.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship with City & Guilds qualifications or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years' post-apprenticeship experience in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in process equipment, including single and three-phase control systems, servo motors and drives, sensors, and converters.
  • Experience in Siemens Step 7 / TIA Portal PLC logic and fault finding; minor programming skills preferred.
  • Ability to conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and provide proactive solutions to technical issues.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations, including Permit to Work (PTW), Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
  • Knowledge of electrical installation work is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated drive to expand knowledge and skill set.
