Job Description:
We are looking for a full-time, experienced Van Driver / HGV Relief Driver to join our clients team in Yeovil.
Job Summary:
- You will be responsible for the delivery of products to customers, with key accountability for ensuring the quality and timing of service is first class.
- The role includes heavy lifting of goods by loading and unloading of the vehicle.
- Maintains high standards of housekeeping and vehicle cleanliness, ensuring compliance with all legal and security requirements.
- The Driver will also maintain high standards of housekeeping and vehicle cleanliness, ensuring compliance with all legal, security, health and safety requirements.
- It is the Drivers responsibility to make sure they have access to Transport Polices & Procedures which is located in each branch and to work in accordance as documented
What will you bring to the role?
Essential:
- Class 2 HGV Licence (Cat C)
- Working knowledge of current transport legislation
- Valid CPC (valid hours report)
- Valid Tachograph Card
- Good understanding/knowledge of Tachograph Regulations
Desirable:
- Minimum GCSEs grade C or above in Maths & English or equivalent
- Clean Driving Licence (maximum 6 points)
- Lorry Mounted Crane Certificate (with remote control)
- Forklift qualification (counterbalance licence)
