Responsible for Ensuring the Engineering facility meets site requirements at all times whilst adhering to site H&S requirements and items produced meet customer specification

Basic pay -
Fixed Days = £11.51ph rising to £12.11ph after 12 weeks
Shifts
Fixed Days = Monday to Thursday 8am-4.30pm, Fridays 8am-1.30pm OR 6am-2.30pm Monday to Thursday and Fridays 6am-2pm (candidates choice as to what shift they chose to work full time - the shifts do not rotate)
Overtime Regular overtime available also
Holidays 25 days + Bank Holidays, Accrual whilst agency

RESPONSIBILITIES
The role Our client is looking for Production Operative / Finishing Operators to join their existing team in Yeovil on full time, temp to perm contracts. Full training is provided for this position, the day to day responsibilities as a Finishing Operator are as follows –
- To ensure Health and Safety requirements are met at all times.
- Creating parts with use of hand and power tools
- Operating air fed power tools.
- Operating heavy engineering equipment
- Working from diagrams
- To keep the work area and machinery clean and tidy.
- Maintain timescales according to job cards.
- Ensure that work routing is strictly adhered to, to ensure that deviations are agreed, and exceptions followed.
- Quality check parts ready for onward processes to ensure they meet the customers standards and specifications.
Key skills required
- Previous experience working with hand and power tools
- Ability to interpret measurements and work from diagrams
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to meet business needs, working as part of a production team and also as an individual.
- Ability to work and conform to set procedures.
- Attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
