Youth Support Worker - Yeovil (Lufton) | 15 per hour | Full-Time Day Shifts Available - START ASAP

We are urgently recruiting 4 Youth Support Workers to join a specialist residential college in Yeovil that supports young people aged 16-25 with Autism, learning disabilities, and complex emotional or behavioural needs.

All candidates must be fully compliant before starting. Once cleared, you will attend a paid induction shift prior to joining the rota.

Key Details:

  • 15 per hour (including holiday pay)
  • Full-time hours available
  • Day shifts: 08:30-15:00 or 14:30-22:00
  • Rota includes weekends and Bank Holidays
  • Free on-site parking
  • Full training provided, including: Level 3 Health & Social Care, MAPA (Managing Actual and Potential Aggression)

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting students in accessing education, therapy, and leisure activities (e.g. swimming, animal therapy, cinema)
  • Providing emotional support and promoting confidence, independence, and resilience
  • Encouraging participation in activities and acting as a positive role model
  • Helping create a safe, supportive and engaging residential environment
  • Assisting with personal care and everyday living tasks
  • Keeping student records and documentation up to date

What we're looking for:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Previous experience with young people or adults with additional needs (e.g. SEN school, care, supported living, youth work)
  • A calm, consistent and caring approach
  • Weekly availability to ensure continuity and stability for students
