We are seeking a permanent Senior Quantity Surveyor \ Estimator to work for a well-known civil engineering contractor that has offices near York.

The company has just over 30 direct staff and a turnover of £4 Million per annum and the projects they focus on include: 

Water Industry Medium and small stream works, construction and improvements to waste water and water treatment works, including deep drainage, pumping mains, ductile iron pipework, reinforced concrete structures, large diameter pipelines

Highway works, including construction of estate roads to adaptable standards. Including tarmacadam and block paving surfaces, drainage and service installation. We carry out 278 works and improvement works.

Substructure works for steel famed building, including bulk excavation, filling, reinforced ground beams, pile caps and floors, all drainage works and external rods and paving.

We are seeking an experienced standalone self-motivated, self-driven commercial aware Senior Quantity Surveyor that has NEC contract experience. The ideal candidate would also have previous experience  of basic estimating i.e., estimates from a first principles perspective undertaking take offs, compiling bill of quantities, schedule of rates to assist in the production of competitive tenders.

The bulk of their sites are in and around Yorkshire however they do often undertake projects south north east, north east midlands. However given the nature of the role there will be the option to work in the office, site and remotely.
