Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting a Finance Officer, to work predominantly within the Accounts Payable Team of a well established specialist business based in York, initially on a temporary basis for 4-8 weeks supporting due to sick leave within the team. The role would be full time (35-hour week); working closely alongside the current, established Finance Officer.
The Accounts Payable / Finance Officer duties will include:
- Processing invoices received onto our purchase ledger in a timely and accurate manner
- Assisting in the execution of our weekly payment runs
- Processing and payment of staff expenses
- Helping to deal with queries from external parties relating to the purchase ledger
In order to fulfil this role any candidate will require:
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (in particular Outlook and Excel)
- Previous experience of working in a finance role connected to the Purchase Ledger
- A willingness to learn how to work on unfamiliar IT systems (we DO NOT use Sage)
- Well developed communication skills both verbal and written
