Business Development Manager

York / Field Based

Up to £35,000 - £45,000 + Bonus

 

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with an agricultural services company to recruit them an new Business Development Manager into the team.

 

As a Business Development Manager, you will be expected to win over new business from large commercial contracts as well as individual farmers. This is predominantly an office-based role, with some UK-wide travel expected for prospecting and client meetings.

Main Responsibilities of a Business Development Manager:

  • Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients, new partnerships, and projects
  • Creating strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities
  • Building relationships with new clients, gauging their needs and developing proposals to address these needs
  • Pitching sales and products to new and existing clients
  • Attending conferences, shows and events to build relationships with industry partners
  • Creating sales forecasts and actively working towards reaching them
  • Possessing a strong understanding of the company’s products
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with current clients

 

Requirements of a Business Development Manager:

  • Significant experience in acquiring new clients and securing new contracts
  • Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle
  • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities
  • Highly organised and capable of working independently
  • Proficiency in information technology, with expertise in Microsoft 365 applications
