We are seeking an Accounts Administrator who is well-versed in accounting procedures, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive attitude on behalf of a public Sector and Government client based in York.

Description

  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports.
  • Ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to streamline accounting procedures.
  • Manage expense reports and reimbursements.
  • Support the team during the annual budget preparation.
  • Assist with audits and financial analysis as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with UK financial regulations and standards.

Profile

A successful Accounts Administrator should have:

  • A solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
  • Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with relevant software (e.g. SAP).
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Education to a degree level in a related field, such as Business or Accounting.
